Dentary of Bodianus diplotaenia

Coronoid process pointed or hemi-ellipsoidal or in form of mace and oriented anteroposteriorly. Ventral process hemi-ellipsoidal, and different orientation. Its relief is flat and at the tip, in posterior part, there is a pore. Meckelian fossa present. Internal notch small and external notch large. Chin apophysis long. Mandibular symphysis oriented backward, interdigitated. Tooth type: conical or caniniform in one or more rows of teeth. Bigger tooth at the anterior part. Teeth not curved towards internal part. External teeth bigger than internal teeth. Pore can be present on external side. Pore can be present on internal side. Foramen present.
